John is not only passionate about golf but he also holds a BSc Hons 1st Class applied Sports and Exercise and Graduated 4th position overall in PGA training. For the past five years he has been Senior Teaching Professional at the The Cletic Manor Resort and attained PGA Class AA/T Professional level coaching. John has been involved in the organisation of high level golf events, such as the 2010 Ryder cup, 5 Wales Open European Tour events, European Seniors Tour Event and PGA EuroPro tour events. At international level John is the Golf Union of Wales National South East Academy Coach as well as Golf Development Wales PGA Ambassador / Mentor. John has all the experience you require when it comes to club fitting. He has been the fitting technician at The Titleist National Fitting Centre at The Celtic Manor (one of only four centres in the UK). He is also a qualified fitting technician for Taylormade Performance and a Ping Certified Club Fitter. John’s passion for golf has endured he stays full abreast with latest technologies and teaching methods.
Joe qualified as a PGA Professional in 2019 having completed his training with John – starting in 2016. Before becoming a PGA professional, Joe had a successful amateur playing career representing both Glamorgan county and Wales at junior level. Since completing his PGA Joe, along with John McDonald has transformed the junior section in to becoming the Lions as it is known today. Joe is fully SAM LAB 3D and ZEN Green qualified – turning his attention to putter fitting and coaching over the last few years. Joe has continued to play in local tour events and has consistently finished in the top 3 of the Wales order of merit, culminating in his first win as a professional in 2020. Drawing from his own experiences as a competitive golfer, Joe’s insights into strategy and shot selection have been invaluable in helping his lessons navigate challenging courses and make smarter decisions during play.
